Distant River

A sheltered widow seeks independence but when she meets a jilted rancher who offers her a chance at love, she fears she must choose between love and a life of her own.

Set in 1903 Wyoming, a quiet homestead rests in the shadow of a mountain and in the distance a river flows onward.

Sarah Parker, a recent widow finds herself at a crossroads. Her teenage son is ready to embark on a life of his own. For the first time in her life, she will be alone.

She struggles to hold on to the small homestead but lacks self-confidence and is plagued by mistakes from her past. When a stormy night brings a jilted rancher into her life, she is hesitant, fearful it will lead her down a familiar path.

Things get complicated when a perilous stranger pursues her reminding her of a life she thought she left behind. Reluctant to seek outside help, she puts herself in danger.

A life-threatening injury places her in her brother's care far from home. Sarah must face her new limitations, and decide what she truly wants.

Can she put the past behind her and like the river, let her life flow onward?
